Imagine being proposed to under the mistletoe…and then 1 year later getting married on Christmas Day? I know some people may think getting married during Christmas is so cliché, but over the next 12 days, I’ll be sharing ways on how you can make your Winter Wonderland Wedding a magical experience!

Step 1: Getting the ring! Most people look for a special time throughout the year to propose, have you ever thought about doing it during the Holiday season?

Check out my Pinterest board for more details!

1.       Christmas Ornaments:

  • Find an ornament that shows someone down on one knee ready to propose
  • Hang the actual ring on ribbon
  • Make an ornament that says “Our First Christmas Engaged” (hopefully she already knows the big question is coming soon)

Give her the ornament in a box so that when she takes it out to hang on her tree, she’ll be surprised…and you can use this as a keepsake!

2.      My Wish: Will you Marry Me?” Sign:

  • Take her on a carriage ride, or a drive to see lights through the city. Set up a sign where you will be walking or driving slowly past

3.       Christmas Lights Galore!:

  • Set up lights on the front of your lawn or house that spell out “Will you marry me”

4.       Wrap the question up as a gift:

  • Use cookies, chocolate, or bulbs to spell out “marry me” and wrap it up in a box and leave it under the tree for her to open
  • If she loves to read, grab her favourite Christmas book, take off the cover and wrap it around a box, and place the ring inside so that she’ll see it as soon as she opens it to read

5.       Hang up the stockings:

  • Many people have the tradition of hanging stockings by the fireplace. Why not use this to your advantage and either put the ring in the stocking, or have your message sewn into the stocking?

6.       Christmas Tree Display:

  • Almost every city has a huge Christmas tree display-Eaton’s Centre, The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, etc. Make it a night out!
  • Take her to see Santa, take a photo together, but have them edit it with “Marry me” and the date on it

Merry Planning 🙂
