How do I plan my wedding? What are the current trends? How do I save money?  These are just a few of the many questions that a bride may ask throughout the process of planning her wedding. While the event planner is there to see you through and keep you within your budget, and yourself on track – there are endless opportunities for you to personalize your wedding with some quick tips and trendy ideas. Pinterest is an extremely important tool when it comes to planning any event. It allows you to see what you like, what you don’t like, and how to go about doing things in a way that is unique and special to your wedding day. Here are a just a few of the many ways that Pinterest can help make your big day a truly memorable experience!

1)     Identify yourself – What do you like? Wedding’s today are quite extravagant and tend to reflect the individuals getting married rather than their religious or cultural backgrounds. While it is still important to keep within tradition, Pinterest can help you discover the numerous ways to personalize the rituals and elements of your wedding. Not only is Pinterest a great way to snoop through and discover what are the “do’s and do not’s” of your day, it also allows for your planner to have a better understanding of what you are looking for to make your wedding the perfect representation of you.

2)     What is trending? – What might have been big last year may be over and done this year. Do not settle for mediocre or fading trends! You are an intelligent woman living in the 21st Century; so don’t let yourself fall behind! Pinterest is great for identifying what this years popular trends are, and may even point hints towards styles and trends that are just on the rise… you too can be a trendsetter!

3)     Networking source – As mentioned in last week’s earlier blog, networking is a major asset in the highly evolved world we now live in. Not only does Pinterest provide the opportunity to share and connect with friends, it becomes a playing ground for you to engage and interact with numerous individuals. This may include wedding planners, top design industry influencers, fashion gurus, and even business individuals who may be an asset to your wedding day/planning.

4)     Save money – I’m sure this one got your attention. While your wedding planner will be there to oversee your budget and guide you through the proper approaches to planning, you too can contribute towards making some significant savings. Check out the many different DIY ideas that individuals have shared via their Pinterest account. These may not only save the bank, but also help establish that little “personal” touch you are looking for.
